In Delaware, no lower age is specified for a child’s conduct that “imperils any family relationship” or for child-only violations. The highest age a child’s conduct can be considered a status offense is 17. Family court has original jurisdiction over some fine-only motor offenses committed by a child; concurrent jurisdiction with Justice of the Peace Court for curfew violations; and appellate jurisdiction over truancy cases from Justice Court. 10 Del.
