The Ohio Department of Youth Services and The Governor's Council on Juvenile Justice DMC Subcommittee completed an assessment in 2009 for several local jurisdictions. Data was assessed from 2006 to 2007 for African American and all minority youth. Decision points assessed included arrest, referral, diversion, detention, petition, delinquent finding, probation, confinement, and transfer to adult court. Research methods included interviews, focus groups, descriptive statistics, and multivariate analysis.
