The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute completed an assessment in 2012 for the whole state and for each county. Data was assessed from 2005 to 2009 for African American, Hispanic, Asian, American Indian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Other/Mixed, and All Minorities. Decision points assessed included referral, diversion, detention, petition, delinquent findings, probation, confinement, and transfer to adult court. Research methods included surveys and descriptive statistics.
